Giving in to design
17 January 05
And so, I have given in. I admit it. I can't design a website. I'm a webmaster of a college and I can't design a website. So, I'm throwing in the towel. I've given up trying to compete with the likes of Hicks and Moll.
For months, I've had so much to say and offer the web community (I believe anyway), and no way to say it. I was scared to put up a website in fear of being shunned by the web design community. Not anymore.
So, with this website comes a space to add my thoughts and give back to those that have helped me on my journey to becoming a web developer. The site is currently powered by Textpattern but I'll be moving away from it as fast as I can (more on this later). Otherwise, good ol' fashion XHTML and CSS keeps this site going.
Keep an eye on this space, if you will. I'll be sure to post an article (or many) on Lenya, of which I mentioned briefly on Moll's site. I also have some basic things on Apache configuration that I don't think is tutorialized clearly anywhere.
That's one New Year's resolution to check off the list...

From your career advisor friend, never say you can’t do something! You can and you have. You are your own worst critic! Everyone go to http://sophomore.hiram.edu and see what I mean.
