Hiram's looking for a graphic designer

I had the unfortunate circumstance of having to send my best wishes to Hiram’s graphic designer, Kim, yesterday. Kim had been the College’s designer for a bit now, and she was instrumental in helping me with photography, opinions, and the like on the Hiram website redesign nearly a year ago. She continued to help out wherever necessary and was just generally fun to be around. Kim’s moving to a location closer to home (I don’t blame her – I drive to work an hour each way every day).

As a result, Hiram needs a graphic designer. I figured I would use this site to call attention to the job posting. Feel free to pass this around to those that live in the Cleveland, OH area:

Hiram College seeks a motivated professional with 5 to 7 years experience to fill the position of Graphic Designer. The Graphic Designer works as part of a creative team to design all college publications, from initial concept to production and delivery. A bachelor’s degree is required. Candidates must have experience working with Quark Xpress, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator. Experience in two-color and four-color production is essential. Candidates should have excellent communication and organizational skills, be able to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, and be able to create designs for a wide variety of needs and budgets. This is a full-time, twelve-month position. The position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package including tuition remission for the employee, spouse and dependent children.
